Description
Take the frame you meant to take, not the one you pressed. Between "now" and the moment a photo is actually recorded sits a whole chain of delay: seeing, recognising, deciding, moving your finger, the touch registering. A complete see-it-then-press reaction runs about 200 to 250 milliseconds. The expression on the street, the cat mid-jump, the light passing by — none of them survive that number. Intenshot doesn't try to shorten the chain. It admits it. The camera never stops recording. The last 1.6 seconds are always held in a buffer. When you press the shutter, the app walks back along the timeline and pulls out the frame from before your delay. The shutter stops being a trigger and becomes a bookmark pointing backwards. — Calibrate it to your own number — A panel turns white at a random moment; tap the instant you see it. Five trials, averaged: that is your reaction delay, and every shot from then on reaches back by exactly that much. Skip calibration and the app uses 250 ms. You can re-measure any time. — Timestamps, not estimates — Every frame carries its own capture timestamp, and the shutter moment comes from the touch event — both on the same system clock. The camera pipeline's own latency is cancelled out directly rather than guessed at. — A complete camera — · Pinch and preset zoom, tap to focus and meter, drag up and down for exposure compensation — the same gestures as the system camera · The result screen shows the recovered frame immediately; save it with one tap · Built-in gallery: grid, single-photo view, share, delete · Saves into a separate "Intenshot" album, or straight to your main library — your choice in Settings · A "how it works" page: the delay chain, a proportional timeline, the buffer strip · Optional technical readout: current delay, pipeline latency, frame rate, and where in time the chosen frame came from — Always watching, keeping nothing — There is no networking code in this app: no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no third-party SDKs. The continuously recorded video exists only in a 1.6-second ring buffer in memory; anything older is erased, nothing is ever written to disk, and recording stops the moment the app leaves the foreground. Only the single frame you choose with the shutter is saved — to your own photo library.
