Shotnest: AI Photo Search

Find any photo just by describing it. Shotnest is a private photo manager powered by on-device AI. Type what you remember, like “dog at the beach”, “sunset last summer” or “birthday cake”, and Shotnest finds the matching photos in your library. No tags, no albums to maintain, and nothing is uploaded. SEARCH IN PLAIN LANGUAGE • Natural-language photo search in English or Chinese, powered by a built-in vision-language model that runs on your iPhone • Find the text inside photos: receipts, tickets, notes, whiteboards and screenshots are searchable by the words in them (on-device text recognition) • Filter by people, scenes, objects, screenshots and photos with text • The search index is built in the background on your device. Your library is never sent anywhere. AI DEEP SEARCH (OPTIONAL) • Download an on-device AI model (about 2.2–5 GB, three sizes to choose from) that describes each photo in detail for harder queries • The model is delivered through Apple’s App Store servers and runs fully offline after download • Requires an iPhone or iPad with 6 GB of memory or more (8 GB for the largest model) FREE UP SPACE • Similar photos: groups near-identical shots and suggests which to keep • Bursts, screenshots and large files, each with its own review screen • Compress large photos to a space-efficient format • Protect photos you never want suggested for deletion • Nothing is deleted without your confirmation, and deleted items go to Recently Deleted in Photos PICK YOUR BEST SHOTS (PRO SELECT) • Built for photo shoots and trips: swipe each photo to Keep, Maybe or Reject • Compare similar shots side by side and narrow down round by round • Organize selections into projects and pick up where you left off • Browse and start projects by shooting location (city or district) MORE • Collages with multiple layouts, saved straight to your library • Custom tags, including batch tagging of many photos at once • Home Screen widget with library stats and a daily memory PRIVATE BY DESIGN • All AI search, recognition and cleanup runs on your device • Your photos are never uploaded. No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. • Place names come from Apple’s geocoding service. Only coordinates are sent, never the photos. SHOTNEST PRO New users get full access for 7 days.
