HerdLine

HerdLine is a professional iOS application designed for cattle breeders and ranch managers who require reliable pedigree management and wise breeding decisions. This application maintains a complete registry for each animal in your herd, recording patrilineal and matrilineal relationships between multiple generations and displaying them in an interactive family tree that supports expansion and folding navigation, up to five lineage depths. Search by ear tag or name to immediately find any animal and view its complete ancestor on a detailed screen. Each artificial insemination event records the semen code of the bull and automatically correlates it with the cumulative number of offspring, allowing you to immediately understand semen utilization and offspring performance. HerdLine calculates Wright's inbreeding coefficient based on pedigree data and marker mating exceeding the 6.25% threshold, helping you avoid harmful inbreeding. A dedicated calculator also allows you to evaluate proposed father daughter pairs before reproduction. Performance analysis groups offspring according to paternal and maternal lineages, reporting average birth weight, weaning weight, and daily weight gain. This allows you to objectively compare mating combinations and determine the most productive lineage.
