Description
Inkshade gives Safari a dark mode that treats websites as interfaces, not photographs. The Dynamic engine adjusts page backgrounds, text, links, forms and controls while preserving the meaning and color of images, video, canvas and other media. If a difficult page needs simpler treatment, switch that website to Safe Filter. Inkshade remembers the choice locally for that hostname, including an Off rule. Pages that already provide a genuine dark design are left alone in Auto mode. Bright flashes are guarded while a page loads, and framed content is handled too. Inkshade has no account, analytics, advertising or developer server. Website URLs, content and compatibility settings are not sent to us. Safari displays a website-access permission because changing a page requires reading and modifying that page on your device. Inkshade works inside Safari. It does not recolor native apps or claim perfect compatibility with every website.
