Tip Slot Swap

Tip Slot Swap lets Swindon residents pass on Household Waste Recycling Centre (Barnfield Tip) bookings they can't use. A booking is a council-issued reference number and QR code that opens the barrier at the site. SIGNING IN Enter the review email above and tap to send a code. No email is needed: enter the 6-digit code above. As a new member you'll be asked for a name (any name is fine) and to confirm you live in Swindon. TRYING IT OUT - Slots tab: test slots are on the board. Tap one, then Claim, and confirm within the hold time. The QR code then appears in My Slots. - Share tab: choose "Type it in" and enter a reference such as RC0000001 with any future date and time (the site is closed on Wednesdays). - Alerts: set an alert for a day to be notified when a slot is shared. - Account > Delete account removes the account inside the app. The QR codes only work at the barrier of the Barnfield site in Swindon, so they can't be tested elsewhere. Permissions: the camera is used only to scan a booking QR code, and notifications are used for slot alerts and visit reminders. Tip Slot Swap is an independent community app. It isn't affiliated with Swindon Borough Council. The council's own Q&A says family and friends can book a visit on someone's behalf and bring the QR code from the confirmation email. The app works the same way, between neighbours.
