One saint a day. One prayer you follow rather than skim. About three minutes. Most days the hard part is not wanting to pray. It is the pause before it — which prayer, how, how long. This app removes that pause. Open it and you are already praying. Each day walks the same short path: the Sign of the Cross, a few lines about the saint the Church remembers today, a word from Scripture, the day's prayer, a stretch of silence, and a closing line. The words arrive one line at a time, at the pace of breathing, because eyes move faster than hearts. The silence in the middle is the part most apps leave out. Reading words about God is not yet praying to God. That pause is where one becomes the other. There are no streaks here, and there never will be. Nothing counts how often you come. Miss a week and you are met exactly as before — no reminder of what you missed, nothing to catch up on. Every prayer answers why: why this prayer, why at this hour, why in these words. The first time you meet one you get the whole explanation. After that it folds into a single line you can tap if you want it again. Today's prayer is free and stays free. Charging for three quiet minutes would be charging for prayer.
