NYTENNIS was made by a New York City recreational tennis player, for New York tennis players. If you play tennis in NYC, you know we have our own weird and wonderful little world. Figuring out which courts are playable, finding someone (or some doubles buddies) at your level, navigating waitlists and local court quirks, wondering whether the courts are open or dry after rain, and trying to find someone who wants to hit when you do. I wanted one place built specifically for that. NYTENNIS brings New York’s recreational tennis community together in one place. No more hopping between 12 social media chats and feeds, 14 message boards with questionable personalities and gatekeepers, a pile of group chats on your phone, or apps that weren’t designed specifically for our city and our weird little tennis world.
