Retrography

Retrography builds a private timeline of your life, automatically. Every day it quietly gathers where you went, what you photographed, how you slept and moved, what you listened to, and what you wrote, and turns it into one day you can scroll through. No check-ins, no prompts. It does the capturing; you do the living. DAYS, NOT MOMENTS The day is the unit. Open any date and see it whole: places, photos, workouts, sleep, weather, music, calendar, email, journal. Scroll back through years. PLACES, REMEMBERED Visit monitoring records the places you go and matches them to named points of interest. A map of every day, drives logged and drawn, and a Location history that works like the one Google took away, kept only on your phone. TRIPS Retrography finds your trips on its own, from where your photos were taken and where your phone spent its nights. Each trip gets a name, a flag, its dates, a route and its best photos, back through your whole photo library. Rename it, add a note, fix the dates, hide it. ZOOM OUT Week, Month and Year views turn every period into one tile: trips and days away, highlights, the week's rhythm. Tap any day to drop back into the feed. YOUR PHOTOS, CURATED Your camera roll appears in context, with the shot that matters chosen for you: favourites and pinned photos always, bursts collapsed. Mark a hero, pin one, hide one. JOURNAL, TYPED OR SPOKEN Write an entry or dictate one. Transcription runs on your device; the audio never leaves it. Attach photos, links, PDFs and voice memos to a day. SUMMARIES Just as a day can have an entry, a week, month or year can have a summary. Turn on AI and the app writes one once the period is over; add your own on top. AI is off until you switch it on, and nothing is sent until you use it. HEALTH, MOOD, TRACKERS Sleep, steps, workouts, rings and vitals from Apple Health. Mood and productivity in two taps. Custom trackers for anything you want to count. MUSIC, EMAIL, CALENDAR Your Last.fm history or a Spotify export on the day it was played, with a button to recognize what's playing now. Your calendar events. Your email, headers only, straight from your own mail server. ON THIS DAY The same date in earlier years, the whole day: photos, places, weather, music. PRINT IT Day Sheet PDFs, real vector output, one page per day. Export the journal as plain text or a complete JSON archive. You are never locked in. CARPLAY AND APPLE WATCH A glance at today from the wrist or the dashboard. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything lives on your phone and in your own iCloud, encrypted. No accounts, no social features, no data harvesting. Our servers never see your content. Optional AI runs on Amazon Bedrock with no retention, directly from your phone. Anonymous usage counts are the only thing we receive, and you can switch them off. Retrography is for people who want to remember their days without keeping a diary.
