Description
TapInPass turns your centre's attendance register into something you can actually show. Every student gets a pass — an NFC fob or a tag on their folder. They hold it to the phone and the arrival is written the second it happens. On the way out, they tap again. No sign-in sheet, no handwriting, no reconstructing the afternoon from memory at closing time. WHAT THE APP DOES Kiosk — Set an iPhone at the front desk and start the tap loop. Students tap, the screen answers with a big full-screen confirmation and a distinct chime for arrivals and departures, then returns to ready for the next student. It runs unassisted straight through the after-school rush. On iPad, stand the Kiosk up as a dedicated check-in station: the front camera scans each student's QR check-in card, with the same full-screen confirmations and chimes as a tap. The Room — The live "who's here now" board. Who has arrived, how long they have been in against their planned session, and who was expected but hasn't shown yet. Tap any student to check them in or out by hand, with a few seconds to undo. Passes — Program the passes yourself. Write a pass, verify it by reading it straight back, then bind it to a student. Lost pass? Mark it lost and issue a replacement in under a minute. A pass can optionally be locked permanently. Register — Today's visits with real arrival and departure times, ready to review or hand over. Full date-range exports live in the web admin. BUILT PRIVACY-FIRST • The pass carries a random tag ID and nothing else — no name, no personal information of any kind. A pass lost on the bus tells whoever finds it nothing. • Students appear as a first name and a last initial. That is the whole name the system holds. • Children have no accounts, no logins and nothing to sign up for. Staff manage everything. • Product analytics use pseudonymous identifiers only, never names. There is no advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, and centre data is never sold. WORKS WITH THE WEB ADMIN TapInPass on iPhone is the counter-side companion to the tapinpass.com admin, which holds the roster, the weekly schedule, exports and settings. Same centre, same records, live in both. WHAT YOU NEED TapInPass requires an active centre account and TapInPass passes. Reading a pass uses the iPhone's built-in NFC, so it needs a physical device — iOS shows its own system scan sheet for each scan session. iPad has no NFC hardware, so centres on iPad check students in with the camera-based QR Kiosk instead. Signing in is required for the Room, Passes and Register tabs; the Kiosk tab keeps recording taps without anyone signed in. Sign in with Apple, Google, or an email and password. You can delete your account, and the sign-in data attached to it, from Settings inside the app at any time. TapInPass is an independent product of Gizmothings Inc. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any tutoring franchise or franchisor.
