Description
Gainware Chat is a voice-to-text intercom for live production crews. Speak into your headset and your words appear instantly as text in a shared feed on every device in the session. iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and any browser on your network. Built for shows: FOH to monitors, stage manager to spot ops, camera to director. Anywhere talking out loud isn't possible and typing is too slow. HOW IT WORKS • One device starts the session; everyone on the same Wi-Fi joins in one tap • Your speech is transcribed on your device and posts when you pause • Late joiners automatically receive the whole conversation so far • Everything stays on your local network. No accounts, no cloud, no internet needed MADE FOR LIVE WORK • Adjustable send-after-pause timing, so whole thoughts arrive as one message • Channels ("Band", "Crew", "Cameras"…) plus private direct messages • Photos in the feed and in DMs • Notifications for new messages. All channels or just the ones you pick • Background intercom: keep talking with the phone in your pocket • Privacy option: pause the mic completely whenever the app is in the background • Web viewer: any browser on the network can follow along via QR code • Apple Watch: read the feed and send quick replies from your wrist • Themes and adjustable text size, readable from across a stage PRIVATE BY DESIGN Audio is transcribed on the device that captures it and never leaves it. Messages travel only over your local network. There is no account, no cloud, and no data collection. When the session ends, it's gone.
