A software package for cataloging geological collections that combines scientific accuracy with intuitive usability, guarantees maximum data privacy, and scales flexibly from large museum databases to private collectors—all completely FREE, thanks to an innovative “Bring Your Own Cloud” model. Do you want to always have your geological collection or sample database with you at shows, conferences, or meetings? Then the TerraCollect app is just right for you. Here, you can not only catalog your collection, but also access free educational content on mineralogy, paleontology, and petrology. With the help of systematics for minerals, fossils, and rocks, you can access a comprehensive reference database that enables precise identification and scientific classification. It is up to you if you want to keep your collection locally on your phone so you can access it at any time without an internet connection, or if you want to sign in with your own cloud service (e.g., Drive) so you can also access your collection from a computer via the TerraCollect website.
