Description
Match Pixel Fill turns your photos into something you colour yourself. Choose any image from your camera roll — your pet, your child, a holiday view, a favourite meal, anything. The app reduces it to a clean pixel grid and breaks it into a numbered colour palette. The photo disappears. In its place: a warm cream canvas covered in small numbered cells, each one waiting to be filled. The number in each cell tells you which colour belongs there. Select a colour from the palette at the bottom — a swatch showing the actual colour, numbered to match the cells. Tap a cell. If the colour is correct, it fills with a warm green flash and the pixel locks into place. If it is wrong, a gentle pink pulse tells you to try again. No penalty. No timer. Just you, the palette, and the canvas. Tap and hold any cell to flood-fill — every connected cell of that colour fills at once in a rippling wave, spreading outward from your finger. For large regions of sky or grass or wall this feels enormously satisfying. For small detail regions — an eye, a doorknob, a single leaf — filling cell by cell is its own quiet pleasure. The canvas reveals itself gradually. An undifferentiated grid of numbers becomes recognisable shapes as sections fill. The moment a face appears in a half-filled canvas, or a landscape begins to emerge from what was abstract geometry, is one of the most genuinely surprising things a puzzle game can produce — because the image is yours. Three difficulty levels determine how detailed the pixel grid is and how many colours the palette contains. Easy produces a blocky, impressionistic version of your photo — eight colours, twenty by twenty cells — that can be completed in fifteen minutes. Hard produces a forty by forty grid with twenty colours that might take an hour. The same photo looks dramatically different at each difficulty level. A hint button briefly reveals the true colours of all unfilled cells for half a second — a flash of the complete image that shows you where you are and what remains. Three hints per session. When the last cell is filled, the numbered grid dissolves and the completed pixel art is shown cleanly. Confetti in your image's own dominant colours falls across the screen. No ads. No in-app purchases. No pre-made puzzles — every canvas is generated from your own photos, which means every puzzle is personal in a way that no colouring book or pre-packaged game can be. Just your photo, the palette, and the canvas waiting to become itself.
