Tide – Offline Tide Times

Tide is a tide app for everyone who spends time by the sea — whether you forage for mussels, surf, swim in the sea or fish. Version 2.0 covers the whole world: 2,238 harbours in 144 countries, each in its own local time. Unlike most tide apps, Tide needs no internet connection — all the data is stored in the app and everything is computed on your phone. It works just as well at sea, abroad or in the wilderness as at home in the kitchen. The app collects no information and shows no ads. Choose a harbour on a globe you can turn and zoom, search by harbour, city or country, or let the app find the harbour nearest you. Iceland's 50 harbours use official data from the Icelandic Coast Guard; elsewhere tides are computed from the TICON-4 tide gauge constants. The next high or low tide appears on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island without opening the app, and a Home Screen widget comes in two sizes. You can get notifications for high tide, low tide or spring tide days, set by harbour and time, and the monthly and weekly overviews show when the tides are at their strongest and weakest. Tide speaks 14 languages, shows metres or feet and a 24-hour clock or am/pm, and works on iPhone, iPad and iPhone Duo. Times are calculated, and the weather can affect the actual sea level. Ólíkt flestum sjávarfallaöppum þarf Tide enga nettengingu til að virka — öll gögn eru geymd í appinu sjálfu og allt er reiknað í símanum. Það virkar því jafn vel á sjó, í útlöndum eða úti í óbyggðum og heima í eldhúsi. Appið safnar engum upplýsingum og sýnir engar auglýsingar. Höfn er valin á hnetti sem hægt er að snúa og súmma, með leit að höfn, borg eða landi, eða appið finnur höfnina sem er næst þér. Íslensku hafnirnar 50 byggja á opinberum gögnum frá Landhelgisgæslu Íslands, og hafnir annars staðar á sjávarfallastuðlum úr TICON-4. Næsta flóð eða fjara birtist á læsta skjánum og í Dynamic Island án þess að opna appið, og widget á heimaskjá er í boði í tveimur stærðum. Hægt er að fá tilkynningar fyrir flóð, fjöru eða stórstreymisdaga, stillt eftir höfn og tíma, og mánaðar- og vikuyfirlit sýnir hvenær er stórstreymt og smástreymt. Appið er á 14 tungumálum, sýnir metra eða fet og 24 tíma klukku eða am/pm, og virkar á iPhone, iPad og iPhone Duo. Tímasetningar eru útreiknaðar og getur veður haft áhrif á raunverulega sjávarhæð. Appið er ekki ætlað til siglinga.
