CasaCaddy: Home Maintenance

Point your phone at a water heater, furnace or fridge. CasaCaddy works out what it is, builds the maintenance schedule that goes with it, and reminds you when something is actually due. SCAN IT, AND IT KNOWS IT Take a photo of the unit, and a close-up of the model plate if you can. CasaCaddy suggests the type, brand, model and serial number when they're legible, an approximate age, and the specs that matter for upkeep, like filter size or tank capacity. You check every field before anything is saved, and you can always add items by hand instead. A SCHEDULE FOR YOUR HOUSE Each item comes with a proposed schedule you can switch on or off task by task, and you can add your own tasks. A seasonal checklist covers the whole house: smoke and CO alarm tests, gutters, dryer vent, the main water shutoff. Seasonal timing is based on the first three digits of your ZIP code, and you can tell CasaCaddy your winters rarely freeze so it skips faucet winterizing. Renters and condo owners skip the jobs a landlord or HOA handles. REMINDERS WITHOUT THE NOISE Due tasks arrive together in one nudge on the day and hour you choose. Safety-critical tasks remind you on their exact due date. Mark a task done or snooze it right from the notification, or add the whole schedule to your calendar. A Home Screen widget shows what's due next. STEP-BY-STEP HOW-TO GUIDES Open a task for written steps matched to your item: a safety callout first, then the tools and parts you'll need, then each step. Gas and electrical work is flagged for a professional. Guides you've opened stay on your phone and work offline. PLAN AHEAD Keep each appliance's warranty, receipt and manual in one place. As an appliance nears the end of its typical life, CasaCaddy shows a replacement forecast so you can budget before it fails. Weekly recall checks look up the brands and models you've saved. WHEN TO CALL A PRO For jobs you'd rather hand off, CasaCaddy writes a short job summary with the item, model and task, ready to paste into a call, text or booking form, plus a plain search for the right trade near you. It never takes a cut. YOUR WHOLE HOME AT A GLANCE A Home Health score shows how caught up you are. Items are grouped by room and searchable. Every completed task is logged, with optional photos and notes, so the house has a maintenance history. AI scans and guides run only after you allow them: photos and appliance details go through our server and OpenRouter to a third-party AI model, and photos aren't kept on our servers after the scan. Export everything (data and photos) for free at any time, or delete your home and its server records from Settings.
