Description

GeoReper is a field companion app for geodetic point inventory and management. Designed for surveyors and GIS professionals working with Romania's national geodetic network. Browse levelling, triangulation, GNSS, and gravimetry points on an interactive map. Navigate to points, record field visits with geotagged photos and condition assessments, and view coordinates in both WGS84 and Stereo70 (EPSG:3844). Field work no longer depends on having coverage. This release fixes the ways GeoReper used to let you down out of range. • Your offline work stays put. Points, visits and surveys recorded without a signal used to disappear from the map and lists after closing the app. They were never lost — they always uploaded once you reconnected — but you couldn't see them, and it was easy to record the same point twice. They now stay visible until they sync. • No more being locked out in the field. If your session expired while you were offline, the app asked you to sign in again — which needs a connection you didn't have. You can now keep working, and everything syncs when you're back. • Offline maps that actually work (beta). Downloaded areas now render as the map itself, so the map keeps working with no signal at all. Turn it on under Settings → Offline maps → "Offline map engine". It's off by default while we test it; leave it off for the familiar map. • Nothing fails silently. If a record can't reach the server after repeated attempts, you're told, instead of it quietly disappearing. • Fewer duplicate visits after reconnecting.
