Give your notes a place to belong. XinYi Notes brings handwriting, PDF annotation and clear organization together on iPad. A warm cream workspace, soft pink accents, lavender details and tabby cats create a calm setting for classes, projects and everyday ideas. KEEP YOUR LIBRARY CLEAR • Organize independent note files inside quarters and folders. • Search folder names, file names and outline titles. • Return to recent files and favorites, or sort by date. • Keep pages inside their file, without filling the sidebar with page lists. WRITE, READ AND FIND YOUR PLACE • Write with Apple Pencil using pens, a highlighter, erasers, lasso selection, undo and redo. • Work with continuous pages or a single-page layout. • Select a handwritten heading, review its on-device recognition suggestion, and confirm it as a Chapter or Topic. • Use the two-level outline to return to the corresponding page and writing position without replacing your original ink. • Import and annotate PDFs, and export PDFs with outline bookmarks. • Save editable .xinyinote backups and import .xinyirecovery recovery archives. • Record alongside your notes, replay saved recordings, and transcribe speech using Apple's system speech service. LOCAL NOTES AND PRIVATE ICLOUD Local note-taking works offline and does not require registration or sign-in. When iCloud is available and enabled for this app in system Settings, notes, attachments, recordings and transcripts synchronize automatically through your own private CloudKit database. Manage iCloud access in system Settings. Version 1.0 is free, with no in-app purchases, subscriptions or learning assistant. Recording and playback work while the editor is in the foreground. Leaving the editor or putting the app in the background stops playback and saves the current recording. Return to Saved recordings to request transcription for recordings saved this way. Automatic transcription after a foreground recording is enabled by default and can be turned off in recording settings. You can also request transcription manually. Speech authorization is required before recognition. Apple's speech service may use Apple servers depending on the device, language and service availability. Check transcripts against the original recording. We do not sell notes, serve ads or track people across apps. Optional diagnostics are off by default and remain on the device. Users of earlier test versions can request deletion of historical developer-managed account data through Privacy & Diagnostics → Previous account data, with support if the old session is unavailable. This does not erase local or private iCloud notes. Requires iPadOS 18 or later. Apple Pencil is optional for using the library and reading notes; handwriting features work with compatible Apple Pencil hardware.
