Ready to Date

Summer 2017 — Montréal. After leaving a music festival with a friend, the night felt over, but the city was still alive with possibility. I wasn’t searching for love. Just one more moment of something real. A good conversation. A spark. A connection that meant something. We arrived at an event that seemed empty. Dating apps felt limiting, past dates had been disappointing, and the club scene never brought me closer to someone genuine. Then everything shifted. The room was filled with people, and in that crowd, I saw a woman who immediately stood out. I approached her. She spoke to me like I mattered. She felt safe with me, and even turned down another guy while pointing at me and calling me “her man” on the very first night we met. That moment changed everything. We dated. We moved in together. We built a family. And I realized something no app ever captured. Real-life chemistry is unmatched. That experience became the spark, the mindset, mission, and heart behind Ready to Date. Ready to Date brings dating back to reality. Where safety comes first, presence is felt, and proximity fuels the authentic moments that lead to something real.
