Description
Dai Shogi brings one of the largest historical forms of shogi to your iPad: 130 pieces on a 15×15 board, a game played in Japan as early as the 13th century. Chu shogi (12×12) is included too. Real dai shogi sets are rare and expensive, and the board is huge. This app gives you a full board and pieces you can carry anywhere. Set the iPad on the table and play face to face. FEATURES • Dai shogi (15×15, 130 pieces) and chu shogi (12×12) • Traditional kanji pieces, with English names in the move guide and game record • Move guide for all 39 piece types, with every reachable square highlighted • Full Lion rules, including igui and the special Lion-capture rules (each can be turned on or off) • Play a friend on one iPad, or play the computer (two levels) • Handicap games, including chu shogi handicaps and your own custom handicaps • Every move is saved automatically. Keep up to 10 games in progress • Export and import game records • The history of dai shogi and chu shogi • Bonus: hasami shogi on the 15×15 board, with an optional clock • Works completely offline PRICE Try every feature free for 14 days. After that, a one-time purchase unlocks the app forever. This is not a subscription. The rules follow the modern reconstruction of dai shogi and chu shogi. iPad only.
