Make room readings useful. Dewpoint Rooms brings manually logged temperature and humidity, dew-point calculations, surface checks and observation journals together on iPhone and iPad. NEW IN 4.0 • Surface Check compares surface temperature with dew point and shows how your assumed measurement errors affect the result. • Instrument Journal groups saved room readings by the meter or location name you enter. • Measured WBGT calculates from actual natural wet-bulb, globe and applicable dry-bulb instrument readings. • A simpler icon, clearer contrast, native moisture checklists and a smaller image bundle. • Safer saving, corrected air mixing at altitude, properly escaped CSV data, and clearer handling of invalid or future readings. ROOMS AND REPORTS Create rooms, set target humidity bands, add readings and review history. Export readings as CSV or a PDF site report. Instrument names are labels for manually entered observations; the app does not connect to HomeKit or Bluetooth sensors. INTERVENTION CHECK Record a change and compare equal windows of logged readings before and after it. Review medians, sample counts and time spans, then share the comparison. Samples are equally weighted rather than continuously monitored. A before/after difference does not prove what caused it. SURFACES AND AIR Calculate dew point, vapor pressure, air properties, humidity ratio, mixing and indoor/outdoor moisture differences. Surface Check includes explicit input-error assumptions; its range is not a statistical confidence interval or confirmation of condensation. Air-property tools include site-altitude inputs where supported. PLANNING AND REFERENCES Explore moisture scenarios, air-exchange loads, temperature splits, illustrative heat loads, wood equilibrium moisture and plant vapor-pressure deficit. Native checklists cover room moisture observations and reporting. Two attributed EPA publications remain available offline with paging, search and zoom. OBSERVATION JOURNALS Keep concrete pour records, cellar observations, bedroom preferences and bread sessions. Sourdough Timer uses your recipe’s planned bulk and proof times, saved with each new loaf. Kitchen temperature and RH do not generate bake-readiness advice. Existing records remain available. KNOW THE LIMITS Readings must be entered by you. Comfort scores, reference bands and planning priorities are app-defined illustrations, not standards-compliance assessments or guarantees. These tools do not diagnose mold, measure pollutants, establish concrete strength or food safety, prescribe heat-exposure work/rest schedules, or determine SEER and equipment size. Verify important decisions against actual measurements, product instructions and qualified guidance. PRIVACY No account, advertising or developer analytics. Data is stored locally; the app does not send your room readings to a developer server. You choose where exports go. Device backups and sharing destinations may copy data to cloud services.
