Basebraid: AB1 Traces

Basebraid reads your Sanger sequencing traces on iPhone and iPad: real ABIF (.ab1, .abi) and SCF files, decoded on device, with the tools labs usually pay a yearly licence for. WHAT'S INCLUDED - Real file parsing: the ABIF tag directory (analysed DATA channels in FWO_ order, PBAS base calls, PLOC peak positions, PCON qualities, run details) and SCF versions 2 and 3 - Four-channel chromatogram with base calls, per-base quality bars, horizontal zoom and trace height - Quality trimming by the modified Mott algorithm (error-probability limit) or a sliding window; trimmed ends are shaded and left out of exports - Mixed-peak / heterozygote flagging: a base is flagged when a second channel reaches your chosen share of the called peak, with the IUPAC code suggested - Base editing with A, C, G, T, N or ambiguity codes; edits are stored beside the file, never written into it, and can be reverted - Reverse-complement view of the whole trace - Alignment to a reference you paste (plain or FASTA): local alignment in both orientations, identity, covered span, and every substitution, insertion, deletion and ambiguous call in reference coordinates - Forward/reverse consensus: the reverse read is reverse-complemented, the overlap aligned, and disagreements resolved by quality or written as IUPAC codes - Export FASTA, FASTQ (Phred+33), a per-base quality CSV, an alignment report and a PDF report through the share sheet - Library of imported traces with quality figures, plus "Open in Basebraid" from Files and other apps - Run log of every import, trim, edit, alignment, consensus and export, exportable as text - An app-generated sample pair and reference so you can try everything before opening your own data ONE PURCHASE, PRIVATE - No subscription or in-app purchase - No account, advertising, analytics or tracking - Works offline; traces leave the device only when you export or share them Research and education use.
