Joint Sense

Join the motion measurement community with this app designed specifically for real-time motion measurement using inertial measurement units. This app supports streaming of IMU data to a smart-phone, and real-time display and logging of the data via a web application. This capability thus supports motion data acquisition in any location, and remote monitoring of this motion using the web app. This capability is intended to support mobility assessment and monitoring in the home setting, with a clinician, carer or family member able to view and expert motion data from any remote location. Joint sense includes the following features: - Secure data recording and access via smartphone and web apps - Recording of motion data in background using a smartphone - Capability to calibrate joint positions using static postures - Capacity to record up to 16 IMUs simultaneously - User-friendly trial creation and IMU to body segment assignment -Recording of calibrated joint angles via web app - Sampling of data from multiple IMUs at a rate of up to 10 Hz - Real-time display of joint positions using an avatar model - Capability to export raw IMU data and joint angles into an Excel spreadsheet - User-friendly web interface to support creation, removal and adding notes to individual motion trials This app was designed for use with the Wit Motion Sensor (Witmotion Shenzhen Co. Ltd), a 6-channel inertial measurement unit that operates using low-power Bluetooth technology.
