Test Builder turns your question bank into finished tests — on Mac, iPad and iPhone. It's a native Apple app, not a website: fast, works offline, and keeps your banks in sync through iCloud. MADE FOR MAC, IPAD AND IPHONE • A real Mac app with a three-column layout, keyboard shortcuts and menus • The same banks and tests on iPad and iPhone, synced through your private iCloud • On foldable iPhones, the bank and the test sit side by side and work around the fold • Works offline, with adjustable text size and built-in help BRING THE QUESTIONS YOU ALREADY HAVE • Paste questions straight from a document: numbered questions, lettered choices, and answers marked with an asterisk, an "Answer: B" line, or an answer key at the end • Import text files and spreadsheets (CSV), including sheets with separate "wrong answer" columns — a template is built in • Publisher-style test banks work too: "ANS:", "DIF:" and "TOP:" lines fill in the answer, difficulty and topic • Import Canvas QTI exports and Diploma files • Every import is checked before it's saved: fix a missing answer with one tap, edit anything that came through wrong, and skip duplicates automatically • Not ready to import? Try the built-in sample bank, with 40 questions and a ready-made test MULTIPLE CHOICE, TRUE/FALSE AND SHORT ANSWER • Write and edit all three, or bring them in from your files • Short-answer questions can accept several correct answers BUILD TESTS QUICKLY • Browse by chapter, search every question and answer, and filter by difficulty, format, type or source • Add questions with one tap, reorder by dragging, or sort by chapter or difficulty • Open any question in place to read it in full, or jump to where it lives in the bank • Edit any question — changes are kept separate, so you can always revert • Select many questions and change their chapter, difficulty, type or topic all at once • Add a set number of random questions from the chapters you choose, with an optional difficulty mix • Shuffle a test's answers without changing your bank, and drag questions straight into a test SEE HOW A TEST IS BALANCED • Charts show the mix of difficulty, chapters, topics, formats, question types and sources • See which topics a test covers — and which it leaves out • An answer-key check warns when one letter is the right answer too often EXPORT ANYWHERE • Canvas (QTI, as a quiz or a question bank), Moodle (Moodle XML), and Blackboard Learn (QTI 2.1 or question files) • Aiken text for other quiz tools, and standard QTI 2.1 for other systems • Word documents for paper tests, with an optional answer key and shuffled questions or answer choices • Each export shows which learning systems take it KEEP EVERY COURSE ORGANIZED • As many question banks as you like, each with its own tests — switch in a tap • Rename banks and chapters, and export a bank as a backup PRIVATE BY DESIGN No accounts, no ads, no tracking, no subscription.
