Tetr Notes

Tetr is a handwriting app that saves your notes as ordinary files in a folder you choose. Most note apps lock your handwriting inside their own storage. Tetr does the opposite: every note is saved into your own iCloud Drive folder as a standard PNG image, together with a Markdown text file transcribed from your handwriting on-device. Your notes are readable by any app, on any platform, today and in twenty years. WRITE NATURALLY - Endless vertically scrolling canvas — just keep writing, the page grows with you - Built on the same ink engine as Apple's own apps: low-latency, pressure-sensitive Pencil strokes with palm rejection - Full tool picker: pen, pencil, marker, eraser, ruler, and colors - Light and dark mode — ink adapts on screen, files stay dark-on-white YOUR FILES, YOUR FOLDER - Pick any folder in iCloud Drive, or let Tetr create its own visible folder - Notes save automatically as you write — no save button - Each note is one PNG you can open, preview, and share anywhere - Tetr's stroke data travels invisibly inside the PNG, so reopening a note in Tetr restores fully editable ink READ IT AS TEXT - On-device handwriting recognition transcribes each note into a Markdown (.md) file saved right next to the PNG - Nothing is uploaded for processing — recognition runs entirely on your iPad - Perfect for personal knowledge bases, Obsidian-style vaults, search, and automation SIMPLE ON PURPOSE - Open the app, write, done — your last note reopens automatically - Sort your notes by name, last edited, or last opened - Rename a note by tapping its title; export its text straight to the share sheet - No account. No subscription. No tracking. No cloud but your own. Tetr requires an Apple Pencil for the best experience and works with iCloud Drive or local storage.
