Spool Keepsake

Spool helps you preserve the voices and stories of the people who matter most: parents, grandparents, and elders whose memories deserve to outlast a moment. Sit down together, pick a question, and start recording. Spool gives you thoughtful prompts in English and Spanish to help spark the stories you might never think to ask about, from childhood memories and family traditions to the small details that make a life uniquely theirs. Keep every answer in their own voice. Spool records your conversations, transcribes them entirely on your device using Apple's on-device speech recognition, and connects recordings to the questions they answer. Then turn those conversations into a keepsake your family can actually keep. Bring together their voice, photos, memories, questions, and transcripts in a beautiful, self-contained export that can be shared with the people you love. Your recordings stay private. Nothing is sent to a server for processing. Your stories belong to your family, not to a cloud service. FEATURES • Guided recording sessions with curated prompts in English and Spanish • On-device transcription with no cloud processing or third parties • Keep answers connected to the questions that inspired them • Organize recordings by person • Trim recordings with a simple, non-destructive editor • Include photos, written memories, audio, and transcripts in one keepsake • Export beautiful, shareable HTML keepsakes • Back up your library securely, entirely under your control Some stories can only be told once.
