Mathfinch teaches maths one skill at a time, from Year 1 to A level, following the national curriculum for England. Each lesson explains one idea, works through examples, then gives practice questions that change every time. When an answer is wrong, Mathfinch looks at what was typed and explains the likely mistake, with a check to try and the steps to get it right. An optional monthly or annual subscription unlocks the full course for every learner on the device. • Progress stays on your device. A grown-up can save a progress file to move it to another device. • Up to 8 learners on one device, each with their own nickname and progress. • A grown-ups area with what each learner can do, and the option to check a mark or report a question. ABOUT THE LESSONS Every lesson passes automated maths checks but hasn't yet been checked by a qualified teacher, and the app says so. If something looks wrong, a grown-up can report the exact question from the app. Some practical skills (drawing with instruments, using a calculator) and written proofs are taught in the lessons but can't be marked by the app; it says which. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
