MeshChat: Offline Chat

Message nearby people without internet or a cell signal. MeshChat uses Bluetooth to bring public chat and end-to-end encrypted private messages to iPhone and iPad. Stay in touch at a campsite, festival, concert, on a hike or anywhere the signal drops. MESHCHAT PREMIUM A one-time in-app purchase unlocks display-name changes, photo sending and emergency broadcasts with optional location. This is not a subscription. Restore a previous purchase in Settings. Purchasing and restoring require an internet connection. Sending and viewing photos requires iOS 17 or later and Sensitive Content Warning turned on in system settings. Photos are not sent or shown when safety checking is unavailable. SAFETY AND PRIVACY • Public chat messages are visible to nearby participants and are not end-to-end encrypted. Private messages are end-to-end encrypted. • Objectionable text is filtered on device. • Report any message, remove it from your chat instantly and block its sender. • Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Reports are acted on within 24 hours: the content is removed and the offending user is ejected from MeshChat. These decisions reach every MeshChat device that connects to the internet. GETTING STARTED Messaging requires another nearby device with MeshChat open, and Bluetooth permission on both devices. Range depends on the devices and surroundings. Emergency broadcasts do not replace emergency services and delivery is not guaranteed. For adults aged 18 and older.
