Description
Isobark reads the weather forecast for your dog, based on their size, age and coat, and gives you a straight answer: walk, wait or stay in. The final call is always yours. Add the widget to your home screen and you can see at a glance whether it's a good time to walk, with the next good hours on the medium size. EVERY FORECAST LANDS ON ONE STATUS Each status has an icon and words, never colour alone. - Good time: clear conditions, no material concern in the forecast - Take care: a practical adjustment, like a shorter or shadier route - Choose another time: a calmer window found for you in the next 24 hours - Avoid outdoor exercise: severe conditions, with better options while you wait No score to interpret. No amber blob to decode. An answer. HOW IT WORKS 1. Tell Isobark about your dog. Size, age, coat, whether they love or avoid rain, and the hours you usually walk. A greyhound puppy and a senior pug have different weather days, so every forecast is read for yours. 2. Pick your patch. Type a town or postcode, or tap current location. That's the only thing that ever reaches the weather provider. No location history requested, none kept. 3. Get your answer. Today's status, the reason behind it, and the calmer hours ranked across the next 24, so an awkward day tells you "when", not just "no". INSIDE THE APP Home: today's answer and the better windows ranked, glanceable before the lead goes on. Today: the next 24 hours, hour by hour, each with its own status. Profile: your dog, your settings, the safety guide and privacy, all in one place. If the forecast is stale or missing, Isobark says so and holds its answer rather than dressing up a guess. You'll always see when it was last updated and where it came from. MEET THE FORECAST TEAM Doppler is young, keen and hopelessly weather-obsessed. He fronts the clear hours. Beaufort is senior, shaggy and unhurried. He takes the take-care days, because a caution lands better from someone calm. When conditions turn properly serious, both step back into the artwork: a warning should look like a warning, and a cartoon dog never delivers one. ONE THING WE'LL ALWAYS ASK YOU TO DO YOURSELF Hot pavement can hurt paws, and no phone can measure it. Place the back of your hand on the pavement for five seconds. If it's too hot to hold comfortably, choose grass, a cooler time or an indoor activity. PRIVACY, PLAINLY No account required. Everything works from the profile on your device. Only your chosen location goes to the weather provider. Forecast-based guidance. Not veterinary, emergency or official severe-weather advice. Forecast source: OpenWeather, with Open-Meteo as a fallback. If your dog shows signs of distress or illness, stop and contact a vet or emergency service.
