Invaluable

I use this for double-checking my wildcard masks for access lists & making sure I didn't fat finger or flub any subnetting. Super handy for VLSM.

A great simple tool!

I find myself using this a lot for unusual CIDR situations. Any chance we'll see IPv6 support?

I gives my ip so I know who is all on my network (my router gives a list of ips)! Über Kudos to the developer! You guys forget that if you post stuff that does not help us devs we cannot improve our apps! I know this by being a fellow developer! This is not easy to make! If you think it is, get a mac and download the iPhone SDK and try! We all want more apps! Even if you cannot do this, maybe you had another idea! Just help yourself by helping us developers making better apps with feedback that helps! BTW: I think that the BG should be brighter, as the iPhone/iPod touch is dark enough!

Variable-length subnet masking VLSM is the more realistic way of sub netting a network to make for the most efficient use of all of the bits for your networks. You can instantly compute the variable-length subnet masking VLSM, the IP address, network bits, hosts per net, network address and the broadcast address in your hand by touching your iPhone. You now no-longer have to bang (use) your head against the wall to compute those mysterious numbers any more.

We moved to a new office and I had to figure out some subnets. Although most I used an app on the computer, it was nice to have a good portable version of it. Only complaint is the dial pad should be more context sensitive. If I'm typing in a decimal ip address, all I need are numbers and period (the first alternate keyboard in US). Unsure if that can be set in the program but it would be useful if you could.

A nice addition would be a filed to put in hex to convert that. Still waiting for a telnet app....

I'd be irritated if I had paid for this app, but I didn't, so it's hard to be too critical. I hope an updated release is in the works.
