Transform!

In a study by Daniel Gilbert and Timothy Wilson, they determined that human beings have 'poor affective forecasting' - meaning we think something will make us happy but in reality it only provides a brief buzz and we are onto the next big thing. We say "If only I had _____ then maybe I could...". As a result, we ignore our deeper yearnings, focus on surface wants, and are never really satisfied. They called this mis-wanting. Transform! is designed to fix our broken wanters. Happiness is not a destination, it is a moment to moment decision. It is our creation. We do not have to wait for that a new job, new house, better relationship, etc. We do, however, have to be conscious of what we are feeling and what our deeper yearnings are in the moment. It is a social and emotional intelligence skill that we can build and strengthen - using the Transform! app of course. When we know what makes us happy, we can directly engage in getting our yearnings met and getting more satisfaction in our lives. Wright, founded by Dr. Bob Wright and Dr. Judith Wright, is a principle-based learning organization that brings together the best of neuroscience, developmental, existential, humanistic, Adlerian, and positive psychologies and philosophies into a proven, practical system for learning the skills to have a great life. Transform! helps you discover your deeper yearnings, be more effective wherever you are, reduce stress, increase focus and productivity, get more time, money, energy, meaning, feel more satisfaction and fulfillment, and live an extraordinary life! About the app: When you log into the Transform! app, you will get an inspirational quote of the day. This starts the morning out right as you build a positive vision for your day. There is an Educational content tab where users can learn more about the integrated methodologies and science behind having a great life. The 'Assignment' tab allows you to select a start and end time, choose a daily assignment, and set the notification interval. You will get an alert, or consciousness reminder, to help you integrate the assignments into your daily life. Your responses are tracked and you can use the results to help with reflection at the end of the day. Transform also integrates with GameCenter to increase the accountability for users to respond to consciousness reminders, and compete with their friends. The more people on the same journey with you, the more we can increase conscious living on the planet! Log in each day to get an inspirational quote, set your assignment, and start consciously engaging in your own transformation!
