This isn’t the fault of Oneflare but they could set a minimum expected cost for the work, reasonable expectations need to be set

I have quoted on a number of jobs but not received one job yet. The last one I requested a refund as the job offerer changed her mind and decided not to use anyone from the app and use a brick and mortar business. I heard nothing back from Oneflare. If you’re a new small business the costs of quotes soon add up with little or no return. I would prefer more characters to write my quote and sometimes feel my brief just doesn’t give enough detail to do me or what I offer justice. I am a personal trainer and I’d also like to see additional fields such as the age and gender of the person to see if they fall within the ranges I specialise in. I’m also guessing there may be people who quote for a job at a very low price to get the job, but this is undervaluing the industry. This could go across all industries. If the person asking for the quotes doesn’t fully understand what is involved and just wants a cheap job, they’ll get the cheapest and this can have a flow on effect , devaluing the industry. Oneflare needs to help the business owners as much as they help the people looking for jobs to be done.

Oneflare say that they don’t want people picking on price but the system is directed that way. I asked some of the many quotes I sent why I didn’t get it and try all cane down to price and reviews. You can’t get reviews unless you win quotes , you can’t win quotes unless you are cheapest with good reviews. A person that has no qualification but has an ABN and basic insurance can always undercut and win without any integrity. If someone takes a week to respond you loose your money because of the 3 day policy for refund. I’ve spent $150 and had $0 in return. I always try to call the person, send a text to get a response and they can still take a week or more. Fix the review policy, I have clients in my business that would leave a good review but don’t need Oneflare to do so. Fix the business qualification process so real businesses can only quote, not sham hobby want to be. I will be cancelling my subscription.

The big issues I have is with the inflexibility and lack of good quality support when it comes to unresponsive customers and the different rules they make it virtually impossible to get your money/credit back. Every time I call to get help with such issues I wind up extremely frustrated (more than I have ever been before) with all the different reason why I can’t get a refund - It shouldn’t be that hard. Further, lately I have been paying $49 a month, so I can additional refund options. The sad thing is that there have not been that many good jobs to bid on, so I’m out of pocket as the credits only last a month. If they lasted 3 that would be fairer. I hope someone at Oneflare is listening, failing your customers. Honestly sometimes I have felt like your support people are specifically trained to give people the run around - I just feel ripped off!

Three quotes per job post at least that’s $60 per job posting to Oneflare. If you get the gig - great. But there is unfortunately also lots of spam and fake jobs posted (cause everyone can setup a quick job post.) This means you spend money on ghosts. If you have a membership you might be able to get it refunded. But you need to be quick and make sure you follow up quick and sometimes Oneflare forgets or is slow on refunds. And some jobs I have quoted on just disappeared. Bye money. Bye customers. This is not a sustainable for a business. Oneflare step up or people will step back from you. I see only you getting all the benefit. And that’s not good enough.

I’m a fully qualified accountant who offers bookkeeping services and quote my normal hourly rate which is higher than $30… When and if I do get passed this initial contact and asked to quote the hours it will take me to do the job I’ve been told it’s usually half the time the other people are quoting, in the long run I actually work out cheaper and I’m fully qualified. It’s an insult to our profession and these cowboys are ripping people off.

Some competition is good but it creates a state of play where you feel you need to sell yourself short to get jobs to justify paying the fee. As a professional window cleaner with more years of experience than the majority of providers in my segment I have a good understanding of what the market is worth but with no union I’m worried sites like this are going to eventually not make my business viable.

Probably because my trade is advertised by Oneflare as starting from $35 an hour this is not the case for us. Also have arranged times to quote jobs and clients haven’t been home and have not even bothered to message. Also find a lot of customers are annoyed that they are receiving so many calls. Oneflare needs to give homeowners more info and let them know we are spending money just to contact them.

Starting out a family business has been a great deal easier with Oneflare. Unfortunately there will always be tyre kickers no matter how you establish a client base but I’ve loved finding new clients using this format.
