Rustfall is a classic, deep tower defense: fixed build plots along the enemy lanes, waves announced in advance, and upgrade trees that fork into specialists. Every choice you make is a counter to something coming down the road. TWELVE TOWER LINES, TWENTY-FOUR SPECIALISTS Autoguns, mortars, arc coils, cryo sprayers, flamethrowers, acid, jammers, point-defense and more. Every line climbs three tiers and then forks into one of two specialists, with 60 towers in all. Add the Floodlight Pylon to strip the cloaks off stealth units. READ THE WAVE, BEAT THE ARMOR Six damage types against six armor types. Reactive armor blunts explosives, energy shields soak up lasers, and drone shells need the right gun. Every mission gives you a full minute to study the map before the first wave, the gates the next wave will use light up on the board, and the wave preview tells you exactly what is coming. FIFTY MACHINES, SIX BOSSES Swarms, skirmishers, armored heavies, flyers and burrowers. Some machines cloak, some EMP your towers, some heal, split or adapt their armor. Named bosses fight in phases, shifting armor, speed and abilities as you break them down. Survival runs until your lines break, with contingency cards to draft as the pressure rises and a best score to beat on every board. RESEARCH AND ABILITIES Spend salvage from every run on a 44-node research tree across four branches, and call in five battlefield abilities, from orbital flares to stasis nets. Stand it half-open on a desk during a mission, and the battlefield fills the upper screen while wave intel, tower details and the build rail sit on the lower one.
