Description

Know the grade before you go. A-OK NYC makes New York City restaurant inspection information easy to check when you are deciding where to eat. Browse restaurants near you, explore the map, or search anywhere in the five boroughs by restaurant, cuisine, or address. Open a restaurant to see its latest official NYC grade, violation-point score, address, cuisine, and available inspection history. A-OK NYC clearly distinguishes official posted grades from pending or ungraded inspections. Save restaurants to Favorites for quick access later. Favorites stay on your device, and no account is required. Already looking at a restaurant somewhere else? Share a restaurant from Uber Eats, Apple Maps, or Google Maps to A-OK NYC to search for its inspection record. When you find a restaurant in A-OK NYC, you can share a direct link that opens the same restaurant in the app for other A-OK NYC users. Inspection data comes from the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene through NYC Open Data. The app displays the latest completed data-sync date so you can see how current the information is. Location access is optional and is used to show nearby restaurants and center map searches. You can still search across NYC without granting location access. A-OK NYC is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the City of New York or the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Restaurant inspection information can change; consult the posted grade and official NYC sources when making decisions.
