Description
Turn the real aircraft flying near you into a collection. CatchFlights combines a nearby-aircraft radar with collecting, progression, and a personal spotting logbook. CATCH WHAT FLIES NEARBY Open the radar to find airborne aircraft around your current location. Tap a contact to see available details such as aircraft type, registration, operator, route, distance, altitude, and speed, then catch the sighting for your collection. BUILD YOUR COLLECTION Discover aircraft manufacturers, families, models, registrations, airlines, airports, and routes. Search what you have found, explore aircraft facts and photos when available, and work through curated aircraft sets. EARN XP AND LEVEL UP New discoveries award XP. Build daily streaks, unlock achievements, and advance through levels that expand your radar and introduce new spotting perks. Optional timed perks can help you catch several aircraft, extend your range, or earn more discovery XP. DAILY CHALLENGES Every day brings a Type Rating quiz, Dispatch assignments, and a fly-off. Answer questions about aircraft types to earn a type rating for each aircraft family, and complete daily and weekly assignments for perk rewards. In the fly-off, place six aircraft in the category where each one does best, then challenge a friend to a fly-off on the aircraft you have both caught and see which type ratings your friends hold. PLAY WITH FRIENDS Add friends with a link or a QR code. Someone new to CatchFlights who joins through your invite starts with Tech Points and a pack of passes, and you are rewarded as they play: a pass with their first catch, Tech Points once they reach level 5. When a friend catches the same aircraft as you within a day, wherever they are, it counts as a relay and earns you both XP. Friends and invites use the optional Community account. KEEP A PERSONAL LOGBOOK Every catch becomes part of your logbook. Switch between list and map views, search past sightings, filter by airline, and revisit the routes and locations connected to an aircraft. SKYWATCH KEEPS LOOKING Build your first Skywatch node in the tech tree and Skywatch starts, free: a watch post that keeps looking while the app is closed and notifies you when an aircraft you are still missing reaches your radar range. It follows where you last had the app open, rounded to about a kilometre, or stays pinned to a spot you choose, and you can switch it off at any time. Skywatch uses the optional Community account. SHARE THE HIGHLIGHTS Create a visual card for a catch, a completed set, a streak, a new level, your daily Type Rating, or a fly-off win, and share it through your device's share sheet. Cards show the aircraft and your progress, but never your precise catch location. MADE FOR YOUR SPOTTING SESSIONS Choose north-up or compass-rotated radar, use light or dark appearance, and switch between English and German inside the app. REQUIREMENTS AND AVAILABILITY An internet connection and foreground location access are required to find nearby aircraft. Radar coverage and the availability or accuracy of aircraft, route, and photo details depend on third-party data sources and may vary by place and time. Some gameplay features unlock as you level up. Notifications are optional and used for daily streak reminders and, with the optional Community account, friend, relay, and Skywatch alerts. Open CatchFlights, check the radar, and see what you can add to your collection.
