GPSDash: Live GPS Monitoring

GPSDash: Live GPS Monitoring Record your trips, review every route on a map, and keep your GPS tracks ready to export. GPSDash turns your iPhone into a straightforward route recorder for walks, hikes, rides, drives, and boat trips. Start a trip when you set out, keep recording in the background, and come back to a clear map and useful trip details when you finish. Your trips are saved on your device. Recording and trip review work without an account or network connection, so your routes stay available when you are offline. KEY FEATURES • RECORD ROUTES IN THE BACKGROUND Start, pause, resume, or stop a trip from the map dashboard. GPSDash continues an active recording while you use other apps or lock your iPhone, subject to iOS location permissions and device conditions. • CHOOSE HOW GPSDASH RECORDS Select a recording mode for walking and hiking, cycling, driving, boating, hybrid travel, minimal battery usage, or maximum precision. GPSDash saves the selected mode with the trip. • AUTO PAUSE Let GPSDash pause a trip when you stop moving and resume when you set off again. You can adjust Auto Pause and automatic resume in Settings, or pause and resume manually at any time. • REVIEW YOUR TRIPS ON A MAP Browse saved trips, inspect the route, and review distance, duration, speed, altitude, and available GPS accuracy information. Revisit individual points and see where a trip started and ended. • SEE PAST TRIPS ON YOUR MAP Display saved routes as map breadcrumbs, choose which trips are visible, and select a color for each track. Keep the active and just-completed route distinct from past trips. • CONTROL TRIPS FROM YOUR LOCK SCREEN Use the Live Activity on the Lock Screen or Dynamic Island to see whether a trip is recording or paused. Pause or resume without opening GPSDash; Stop opens the app. • IMPORT, COMBINE, AND EXPORT ROUTES Import GPX tracks, combine compatible saved trips, and export trips as GPX. Share an exported file using the iOS share sheet or save it to Files. • OPTIONAL WEATHER When enabled, GPSDash sends your location to Open-Meteo to request current weather for the dashboard. • KEEP A BACKUP Choose optional iCloud Drive backups for saved trips. Backups can be restored from the app, and you remain in control of your local trip library. • PRIVATE, LOCAL-FIRST RECORDING GPSDash does not require an account to record or review trips. Your route is stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud Drive backups, GPSDash also saves trip backups to your iCloud account. GPSDash does not upload trips to a GPS tracking service or share your live location. GPSDash is designed for personal route recording. GPS availability, sample timing, and accuracy depend on your iPhone, location settings, surroundings, and iOS. Keep location access enabled for the recording behavior you want.
