D1 Toolbox

D1 Toolbox is a service tool for qualified technicians working with compatible VARIODYN D1 voice alarm and public address systems. Read DOM data, explore system configurations, check lines and document maintenance on iPhone and iPad. SET UP YOUR PROJECT Find DOMs on the local network, add devices manually or import VCF files. Assign devices to projects and buildings. Choose your own building names, such as “Main building”, “Sports hall” or “Administration”, and rename them later. Scanned devices are assigned to the selected project and building. DOMS AND SYSTEM STRUCTURE View device type, firmware, operating mode and saved configuration. Explore lines, amplifiers, call stations, function keys, calls, destination groups and I/O mappings. Saved data remains available offline. LINES AND DIAGNOSTICS Compare reference impedance, measured value, deviation and tolerance for each line. Use filters, measurement history and raw data to investigate anomalies. Read events and fault messages. Connection status and the timestamp of saved data are shown separately. System checks support selected inspections, including LED and buzzer tests with technician confirmation. READ LINE REFERENCES Read individual lines or monitored lines across multiple DOMs. The guided process includes a VCF backup, CONFIG mode, reference readings and NORMAL verification using device responses. Compare references before and after a run in ohms and percent. Retry selected failed lines while retaining successful results. Interrupted runs are saved and affected DOMs are flagged for a NORMAL check. Resuming requires your confirmation. CONFIGURATION AND COMMANDS Read and back up VCFs. Compare backups using clear descriptions of changes alongside the original commands. Stage supported parameter changes and review the command sequence before sending. Search the command reference by function or syntax. The Telnet terminal provides direct commands, responses and a transcript. Available functions depend on device type and firmware. MAINTENANCE AND HANDOVER Record inspections in maintenance sessions and an editable checklist. Add rooms, notes and photos to lines. Create PDF reports and transfer projects with building assignments, VCFs, measurement history, documentation and reports to another device. Stored access credentials are excluded from project packages. An optional rack planner is available in beta with PDF export. DEMO AND OFFLINE USE Practice locally with 10 demo DOMs and 60 lines across three buildings. The demo never connects to real systems. The demo and saved offline data are available without a Pro subscription. Project data is stored locally on your device; no app account is required. D1 TOOLBOX PRO Real LAN and DOM connections, active service functions and exports for real projects require Pro. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled.
