BoltNote: Voice Notes to Text

Capture a thought before it slips away. BoltNote turns your voice into text, offline on your iPhone or iPad. Or open it and start typing. An idea on a walk. A paragraph for your next article. A message you want to get right. Get the words down, make a quick edit, and send them where they belong. OPEN. SPEAK. SEND. • Dictate in English or German with automatic punctuation. • Watch your words appear as you speak. • Keep adding to the same note across recordings. • Switch between speaking and typing whenever you like. • Copy your text or send it to another app. OFFLINE SPEECH TO TEXT Install Ultra or Compact once to use BoltNote's own microphone. After the download, AI speech recognition runs directly on your iPhone or iPad without an internet connection. Choose Ultra, the recommended model, or Compact for a smaller download. Both support English and German. Prefer typing? Start immediately, without downloading a model. Native keyboard dictation remains available as an iOS feature; its processing and availability are controlled by iOS. YOUR DICTATION. YOUR RULES. Format spoken numbers, currencies, and punctuation. Set your own commands for paragraphs and line breaks. Custom rules replace words or phrases, such as a word with an emoji. Rules apply to new dictation, including Watch recordings; typed text and existing notes stay unchanged. CAPTURE ON APPLE WATCH Tap to record a thought on your wrist, even when your iPhone is away. Stop to queue the recording for transfer. Your paired iPhone turns it into text when BoltNote is open and the phone is unlocked. Review, edit, and send it from Inbox. An installed speech model on iPhone is required. SEND IT WHERE YOU WORK Put your favorite export first for a single tap. Hold Send to choose another configured action. Use the share sheet, send to Bear or Agenda, or connect Apple Notes through a shortcut you set up. Add your own Shortcuts to fit your workflow. Destination apps and any required setup are separate. FOCUSED ON YOUR WORDS One note, a plain text editor, and the controls you need. Choose light or dark appearance, open BoltNote from a widget, and keep optional dictation backups in Archive for your chosen retention period. YOUR WORDS, PROCESSED LOCALLY BoltNote does not send recordings or transcripts to a cloud transcription service. Settings and your created-note counter can sync through iCloud; BoltNote does not sync your notes or recordings through iCloud. No account registration. No ads. TRY IT. KEEP IT. Your first 19 notes are free. Creating your 20th note requires BoltNote Pro: one lifetime purchase for unlimited note creation, with no subscription. Your existing notes remain editable and exportable. BoltNote Pro is a separate purchase from BoltCal Pro. From the maker of BoltCal, with the same focus on getting a thought into the right place with fewer steps.
