Spectre Installer

Spectre Installer is the on-site provisioning tool for technicians who fit Spectre GPS tracking hardware to vehicles and equipment. It walks the installer through QR scan, live telemetry verification, the four mandatory self-tests, asset detail capture, install photography, and electronic sign-off — replacing paper-based commissioning forms. Getting access: Tap "Request installer access" on the sign-in screen to apply for an installer account. Anyone fitting Spectre GPS hardware — independent installers, auto-electrical businesses, fleet workshops — is welcome to apply. What it does Scan a device's QR code or enter the IMEI to bring up the live job for that unit. Watch live telemetry as the device boots: GPS fix quality, satellites, signal strength, ignition, battery, and digital I/O state — all streamed in real time so you can verify the install before leaving site. Run the four self-tests (GPS, connectivity, ignition, inputs/outputs) with the pass/fail criteria visible on each card. Outputs can be activated and deactivated directly from the app to confirm relay wiring. Capture asset details and save them straight to the Spectre fleet record. Take install photos with the device camera. Add free-form install notes (visible to the office), then sign off the job. Re-install audit trail — every install, re-install, and notes edit is timestamped against the device, so the office can see who touched a unit and when. Privacy Install photos and asset data are uploaded to Spectre's servers under the installer's authenticated session. Photos are archived to a Spectre-owned Google Workspace Shared Drive.
