Description

Weathervane turns readings from your Ecowitt weather station into a clear, detailed dashboard for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Free, with no ads and no account to create. Connect directly to your gateway on your home Wi-Fi, or use Ecowitt Cloud to check your stations from anywhere. Weathervane shows only the readings your station and sensors provide, with no empty sections for equipment you don't have. See temperature, humidity, dew point, feels like, pressure, wind, rainfall, solar radiation, UV, air quality, CO2, lightning, soil moisture, soil temperature and conductivity, leaf wetness, water leaks, distance and depth, battery levels, signal strength and more. APPLE WATCH Your station on your wrist, with complications for your watch face. Pick any of your stations right on the watch. With Ecowitt Cloud, the watch reads your station itself, so complications stay up to date even when your iPhone isn't nearby. ALERTS Get notified about the weather, your sensors and your devices: high and low temperatures, frost tonight, strong wind and gusts, rain starting and stopping, heavy rain, lightning nearby, falling pressure, humidity, air quality, a daily summary, sensors that stop reporting, low batteries, a station going offline and firmware updates. Set quiet hours so alerts wait until morning. WATER-LEAK ALARM With a WH55 leak sensor, Weathervane sounds a distinct rising alarm the moment water is detected, shows a red warning on your dashboard and watch, and tells you when it's dry again. HISTORY AND RECORDS Graphs from one hour to a month. Tap any graph to see the exact reading and time. The Records screen keeps your highs, lows and totals from today back to all-time. Export your data as a CSV file. FORECAST A 5-day forecast with a one-line summary and each day's chance of rain, plus sunrise, sunset and the moon phase. In the US & Europe, a live radar map and the National Weather Service's written forecast for each day. FEATURES • Apple Watch app and complications • Weather, sensor and device alerts • Water-leak alarm • Live radar and written forecasts (US) • Siri and Shortcuts • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets • History graphs and Records • CSV export • "Compared to yesterday" notes • 3-hour pressure trend and outlook • Share a picture of current conditions • Two-column iPad layout with an expanded forecast • Multiple stations, with local and cloud support • Firmware update status for every device • Custom names and order for stations and sensors • Reorder cards on dashboard • Fahrenheit or Celsius, your choice of pressure, wind and rain units • Units that follow your region, with knots, m/s and metric distances • 12-hour or 24-hour time • Light and dark appearance • Demo mode, to try it without a station SUPPORTED HARDWARE Gateways: GW1100, GW1200, GW2000, GW3000, and the WittField WS6210 and WS6006 4G gateways. [v2.3] WORLDWIDE WEATHER ● Radar now works outside the United States. NOAA still draws the US card; everywhere else gets RainViewer's radar tiles laid over a live map, with a marker on your station. ● Severe weather warnings outside the US: Germany via the Deutscher Wetterdienst, the rest of Europe via MeteoAlarm. MULTIPLE DEVICES ● It now paces itself to fit, retrying at a sensible spacing and settling on an update interval that works for however many devices you run. ● False alarm: a station could be reported offline when it was working perfectly well and the app simply hadn't been able to fetch from it. RAINFALL ● A "Day by day" link on the Rainfall card opens the month's daily breakdown — rain, high and low, and the wettest day. THE MOON ● Tap the moon phase card for a full sheet: moonrise, moonset, where it is in the sky right now, and the next full and new moons. ● A "viewing" verdict — whether you'll actually see it tonight, based on real cloud forecast for the hours it's above the horizon, not just the phase. REPORTS & COMPARISONS ● A monthly report: the month in figures, then a line-by-line breakdown per day. ● Rainfall compared against your location's average for the month. ● The time of today's peak wind gust, not just the number. ● "Feels like" shown under the main temperature when it meaningfully differs from the actual reading. ● The forecast now says how much rain is expected, and what the UV index means in plain words, not just a number. ● A "3M" (three month) view added to the full-screen rainfall chart. ● CSV export: fixed a bug where choosing "30 days" silently exported fewer days. VISUAL FIXES ● Soil sensor cards no longer wrap awkwardly when a reading has more digits ● Every graph (sensor history, hourly charts) now has a small tick ruler underneath it. TAPS & SHARING ● A single tap on a mini card jumps straight to its chart. ● Full-screen charts gained a share button, so you can send a chart image to someone directly from the expanded view. UNDER THE HOOD ● Dozens of small bug-scan fixes across the app.
