Bring your own reading The optional private companion accepts PDF, Word, Markdown, text and TeX files. Ask for an explanation or translation and read converted documents with equations, figures and tables. Files can be up to 20 MB and PDFs up to 30 pages; service allowances apply. Your uploaded documents and conversations are private to your account and can be deleted in Bunko. Books, dictionaries and offline reading are included with the app purchase. Ordinary reading needs no account or subscription, and there are no advertisements. Online discussions and the companion require a connection. The companion uses AI. With your consent, questions and relevant passages are sent to the named provider, DeepSeek or OpenAI; PDF conversion uses Mathpix. Answers, diagrams and generated translations can contain errors.
