Skybyn is a social network for the people you actually know. It started from a simple frustration: somewhere along the way, social apps stopped being about the people in them. Feeds filled with strangers and advertising. Private messages became training data. Every setting that mattered got buried three menus deep, switched on by default in whichever direction suited the company rather than the person using it. Skybyn is the version that doesn't do that. Your feed is the people you chose to add — their posts, their photos, their day. Nothing is injected into it to keep you scrolling, because nobody is paying us to hold your attention. There are no ads, no trackers following you into other apps, and nothing about you is sold to anyone. Your conversations belong to you in the strictest sense. One-to-one messages are encrypted on your device and decrypted on the other person's, so they cannot be read in transit or on our servers — not by us, not by anyone who compromises us later. Calls connect directly between phones wherever the network allows. Signing in can be done with your face or fingerprint instead of a password, so there is no secret to steal in the first place. Everything else follows from the same idea. You can see every device signed in to your account and cut any of them off. You can report or block anyone, and reports are acted on within 24 hours. And if you ever want to leave, deleting your account deletes your account — posts, messages, photos, all of it, immediately, with no waiting period and no attempt to talk you out of it. Post a photo.
