ciniq

ciniq picks your next film from the juries, not the crowd. Its canon is the world's festival and academy winners — Cannes, Berlin, Venice, the Oscars, BAFTA, César, India's National Film Awards, the Golden Horse and fifty more. Every winner, every year, with the jury's own words where they exist. No crowd scores and no critic quotes, anywhere. TONIGHT A short queue chosen from your own taste, each film with the reason it was picked. RATE, BLIND Score a film on ten dimensions — story, direction, camera, acting, music, the ending, its social canvas and more. Your ratings teach ciniq what you value, and the Taste page shows what actually drives your score. YOUR UNIVERSE — NEW Every film you've rated, with its directors and actors, laid out as a map you can walk. Tap a person to see their films; tap a film to see who made it. ASK Ask by text or by voice: "What have I rated highest?" or "Get Adoor Gopalakrishnan films". Speech is recognised on the device and answers are composed on the device. YOUR PHONE AND YOUR TV Pair with ciniq on Apple TV or Google TV: your taste syncs both ways, and any film, director or actor goes to the big screen. Play on TV sends a film straight to a Roku on your Wi-Fi. CARDS WITH FRIENDS Send your reading of a film. Your friend scores it blind before seeing yours, then you both see how close you were. WHERE TO WATCH Powered by your own free Watchmode key, so the lookups and the quota are yours. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No ads. No tracking.
