Upe: group plans

Upe is the easiest way to meet new people in Costa Rica: small plans for 4 to 8 people, organized by locals. PICK A PLAN A sunset hike, a soda crawl in Barrio Escalante, a beginners' salsa class. Filter by city and by kind of plan — outdoors, food, dance, culture, sports — and join with one tap. Every plan shows when and where it is, the meeting point and who's going. MEET THE GROUP IN PERSON When you join, you get the group chat to sort out the details: who brings what, where to meet. You can share photos. On the day, you check in at the venue. PLAN AGAIN WITH THE PEOPLE YOU CLICKED WITH After the plan, you privately pick who you'd do another plan with. Only when two people pick each other do they connect — nobody finds out who you didn't pick. Connections see each other's next plans, and when you host one, you can save them a seat. Everyone who checked in can keep talking in the group chat for 30 days. WHO HOSTS The Upe team, partner venues (bars, dance schools, hiking guides) and verified members who have been to a few plans. DESIGNED TO FEEL SAFE • Public places • Selfie profile verification • The group chat is only for people who joined • Report or block anyone Free during launch. In Spanish or English, your choice. You must be 18 or older to use Upe.
