Foldable Games

Foldable Games is a box of eleven small games made for iPhone Duo. Stand the phone half open like a tiny laptop: the upper screen is the stage, the lower screen is the table. Every game is built around that split, and the hinge angle itself changes how they play. PENALTY KICK. The goal rises on the stage, the ball waits on the pitch below. Swipe to shoot past a keeper who has to actually reach the ball to save it. NIGHT DRIVE. A neon road climbs the upright screen. Steer with the wheel on the table. Fold the phone steeper and the road becomes a hill. CLAW MACHINE. A real prize heap behind glass. Joystick, DROP button, a swinging claw, and a grip that depends on how clean you grab. CLAY SHOOT. The lower screen is a trackpad. Slide the crosshair over the clays, tap to fire. SHUFFLEBOARD. Flick pucks up the table onto the scoring bands. The upright half is uphill, so they slow down and can roll back. BEAT PADS. Notes fall down the stage and land on the fold. Four pads on the table. Hit them on the beat. GONE FISHING. Cast from the dock up top into the pond on the table. Tap the instant it bites. LETTER CANNON. Tap tiles on the table and a cannon fires them up into the word slots on the stage. CASTLE SIEGE. Pull back the slingshot on the grass and lob stones up over the hinge. They drop out of the sky onto the castle. BEE LINE. Tap to fly a bee through a bamboo grove. One tap, no mercy. PADDLES. Lay the phone flat with the fold as the net. Two players, one on each side. Everything works on a regular iPhone too, with the screen split in the middle.
