Documentary Channel

Documentary Channel: Home of the Independent Documentary. LIFE. CAMERA. ACTION. Documentary Channel™ is the home of the independent documentary, showcasing new voices, new visions, and new perspectives. Documentary Channel will stream the best documentaries, curated by the best documentary filmmakers… and invite the world to join the discussion. Each year, thousands of high-quality documentaries are produced. The Academy of Motion Pictures routinely gets hundreds of submissions every year. Sundance and other film festivals get thousands of submissions, but they only show on average 3%. The others disappear because there is no place for them to be seen. There is no “home” for documentaries anywhere. There are “homes” for news, movies, original scripted content, nostalgia, food, travel, and every other genre, but not for documentaries. Until now. Documentary Channel™ is a new streaming service that will find the world’s best documentaries, organize them, provide context, and allow viewers to see them anywhere, anytime, on any device for a very low cost. If you like documentaries, Documentary Channel is a must-have. Top documentary filmmakers, historians, and aficionados in the industry will sift through the thousands of documentaries in the market to present the most interesting, engaging and groundbreaking documentaries, both recent and classic. Documentary Channel™ will offer valuable context for the films with brief interviews by the filmmakers and producers, critics, and others. Each year, the Documentary Channel will offer over 1000 new documentaries, with 31 different categories featuring every genre and length, ranging from rare classics to the latest cutting-edge films you hear about but can never see. The catch words for the Documentary Channel™ are ENGAGEMENT and COMMUNITY. Documentary Channel™ will engage the viewers with great films, context, discussions, town halls, premieres, DocClubs, DocNews, and many other features no other streaming service of any kind offers. There will be a documentary for everyone. We let the audience decide what they want to watch, and we have a simple requirement: each documentary has to be the best. Truth takes a front seat at the Documentary Channel. Documentary Channel: LIFE. CAMERA. ACTION.
