Algoread

Algoread turns your documents into clear, follow-along narration—so you can listen while you read, commute, or rest your eyes. Import PDFs, Word files, and everyday text formats into a private in-app library, then play them aloud with highlighting that stays locked to the spoken word. Control playback from the app, Lock Screen, or Control Centre, and keep listening with the screen locked. BUILT FOR REAL DOCUMENTS • Repairs awkward PDF line wraps and hyphenation before speaking • Uses on-device OCR for scanned or image-only PDF pages • Maps spoken words back to page geometry for clearer tracking SPEECH YOUR WAY • Apple text-to-speech on iPhone and iPad (iOS/iPadOS 15+) • Optional on-device Kokoro AI voices on supported physical devices (iOS/iPadOS 18+) • Download the AI model only if you want it—about 333 MB, verified for integrity, then fully offline PRIVACY FIRST • Speech, OCR, and summaries run on your device • No account required for narration • No subscription and no per-character speech fees On supported Apple Intelligence devices, Algoread can also create a private on-device document summary. Whether you’re reviewing reports, studying notes, or catching up on long PDFs, Algoread helps you hear every page—and see exactly where you are.
