Description

Tactus MK1 is a pocket-sized beat studio. Build a track from the first tap: trigger pads, lay down patterns, sample the world around you, and let the synth engine conjure sounds from your imagination, no cloud or connection needed. DESIGNED FOR FLOW One fast workspace puts performance and editing side by side. Move between playing pads, drawing in the step sequencer, and dialing in effects without ever leaving your groove. GENERATE SOUNDS WITH THE SYNTH ENGINE Describe what you want — "warm sub kick, short tail," "dry clap," "vinyl crackle," "FM bass pluck" — and generate a ready-to-play sample on the spot. Start from a prompt or a built-in idea, then make it yours. SAMPLE ANYTHING Hold a pad and record straight from your mic. Layer takes, stack sounds, and run them through the vocoder to turn your voice into an instrument. PLAY THE PADS Eight expressive pads with three trigger modes — one-shot, hold, and mute — so you can finger-drum, sustain pads, or cut sounds on the fly. SHAPE EVERY HIT Each pad has its own filter (cutoff + resonance), pitch, and volume, plus dedicated sends for delay, drive, and reverb. Sculpt a sound in seconds. SEQUENCE IT Program up to eight patterns with multiple bars each in the per-pad step sequencer. Record live with the metronome and tap tempo, then chain patterns into a full arrangement. FINISH THE MIX A master section ties it together: master volume, reverb with room presets, a tempo-synced delay, and a limiter to keep your tracks loud and clean. YOUR PROJECTS, ORGANIZED Save your projects and pick up right where you left off. When a beat's ready, export and share it in a tap. Whether you're sketching an idea on the train or building a full beat at home, Tactus MK1 keeps a tiny studio in your pocket.

Improved - Pad sounds and waveforms load off the main thread, so the UI stays responsive. - Pad hits are more consistent against the metronome. - Damaged projects with a zero tempo or length are rejected when opened. Under the hood - Transport state is now a single transition table. - Autosave, waveform caching and export are separate, tested components.
