PolicyVector Mobile brings your policy library and study materials to iPhone and iPad. Browse your imported policy PDFs, highlight text, add notes, and create outlines and flashcards directly from your policies. Review confidential policies with built-in redaction tools and approve redacted copies for AI-assisted study. Study flashcards using the Leitner Method, listen to outlines, take multiple-choice tests, and rehearse Oral Board responses. Practice with a partner or use speech recognition and checklist feedback. Listen on the go with background audio and CarPlay support. Create AI-generated multiple-choice tests from selected chapters or entire manuals using your own OpenAI API key. Confidential chapters are eligible only when an approved redacted copy is available. Generated tests sync with your connected PolicyVector devices. OpenAI API usage is billed separately to your OpenAI account. PolicyVector is free to download and includes a demo mode. Full access requires an active PolicyVector license. Purchase one year of access within the app with a one-time payment and no automatic renewal, or sign in with an existing license. PolicyVector Mobile works as a standalone study tool or alongside PolicyVector on desktop. Your purchase includes a license for one desktop computer, with additional AI tools for policy review and study preparation that require a desktop or laptop computer to function. Optional end-to-end encrypted Live Sync keeps your library and study materials connected across devices. You can also import encrypted study bundles from Files, Google Drive, or OneDrive. A built-in Demo Mode lets you explore sample study materials without an account.
What's New
Version 2.1 2026-11-03
This update adds Sacramento Metro Fire and Sacramento Police Department support, improves import review, and makes charts and scanned policies easier to study. ...This update adds Sacramento Metro Fire and Sacramento Police Department support, improves import review, and makes charts and scanned policies easier to study. • New agency support: Import Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District SOGs and Policies, plus Sacramento Police Department orders, manuals, bulletins, and memorandums. Agency-specific recognition handles policy numbers, titles, dates, and outline structure. • Live Sync and agency separation: Sync Metro Fire and SacPD policies and study materials across compatible devices. Fixes prevent another agency’s categories, miscellaneous documents, bookmarks, or study materials from appearing in your workspace. Live Sync start-over also works after switching agencies. • Better import organization: Review documents in collapsible source-folder groups, with chapters and memos together in natural order. Group Actions lets you resolve undecided changes and import a folder’s ready documents while preserving existing decisions. Missing details and ambiguous matches remain available for individual review. • Clearer document comparisons: Compare saved and incoming PDFs side by side on wider screens or with a draggable divider on narrow phones. Removed text appears in red and added text in green. Scroll and zoom both versions together, jump between pages and changes, and choose to keep the saved policy, use the incoming revision, or keep both. • Desktop-style wide-screen controls: On iPad and wider windows, use visible approval checkboxes, Hide unchanged, folder/priority controls, and version choices directly in the batch list. Comparisons show aligned headings, revision dates, a page picker, and direct decision buttons. You can also discard a pending batch from document review without removing policies already imported. • More accurate duplicate matching: Different documents no longer count as the same policy just because they share generic filenames such as “Chapter 1” or “Transmittal Memorandum.” Identical files are still recognized, and stale duplicate decisions are cleared when a match is no longer valid. • Chart snips in outlines: Crop an area directly from a PDF and save it to your outline with its source-page link. Snips retain their original PDF size, shrink only when needed, stay centered, and appear in source-page order beside surrounding text. Tapping a snip opens an enlarged crop with a way back to the outline; opening the source PDF remains a separate action. • Improved scans and formatting: Preserve paragraph breaks and nearby text when reading scanned pages. Improve SacPD manual outlines, including the Report Writing Manual, and Metro Fire headings and review dates. Fix titles that accidentally included body paragraphs and use readable capitalization while preserving acronyms and policy numbers. • Agency-specific redaction detection: CHP confidential-highlight detection stays within CHP workspaces. Shading in other agencies’ policies no longer triggers CHP redaction suggestions. Manual redaction remains available for every agency. • Updated AI defaults and expense estimates: GPT-6.1 Terra becomes the default for AI practice tests. Saved OpenAI model selections—including custom selections—update once after upgrading; subsequent choices are preserved. Improved API expense estimates account for reasoning, caching, long requests, and retries. Saved API keys are retained. • App Store verification recovery: A new Verify with App Store action requests fresh verification and allows Apple sign-in when needed. Clearer recovery instructions replace the misleading connection warning.
