Riverfly Monitor is a simple field companion for anyone carrying out riverfly kick sampling — built by a riverfly monitor, for riverfly monitors. Leave the paper and clipboard at home. Riverfly Monitor puts your whole survey in your pocket, and keeps working even without signal or a soggy notebook getting in the way. FEATURES • Sites — set up each of your monitoring sites once, including its own reporting trigger level. • Guided kick-sample timer — start a survey and let the app time your sampling for you. • Invertebrate counts — record counts across the 8 standard taxa groups (Cased Caddisfly, Caseless Caddisfly, Mayfly, Blue-winged Olive, Flat-bodied Stone Clinger, Olives, Stoneflies and Freshwater Shrimp). • Automatic scoring — counts are converted to scores using the standard Riverfly rounding rules, with a running total out of 32 so you instantly see whether a site is within its trigger level or needs reporting. • Photos — attach photos to a survey to help document conditions or specimens. • History — browse past surveys for every site to track trends over time. • Backup & restore — export all your sites, surveys and photos to a single file you control (share to iCloud Drive, Files, email, or anywhere else), and restore it on the same or another device. • Fully offline — no account, no internet connection, and no data ever leaves your device unless you choose to share a backup yourself.
