A chore opens as a numbered band on the yard. Five stations follow. The ledger keeps what ailed the hen, what you did, and the cost. Breeds is a book you write yourself. Clutch counts. Crow rates. Almanac tables stay blank until you put numbers in them. Vet starts from a complaint and asks until a tonic is named. Folk is the people around the yard, with addresses and birds in their care. The camera can take a picture of a bird. The library can attach one. A contact can enrol a person. Speech can fill a ledger line. A stored address can open on a map. Archives leave as a local file. No account is required for ordinary work.
