Damka

Damka is Russian checkers (Russian draughts) for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Play online against real opponents, practice against the bot, review your games and learn with interactive lessons. PLAY ONLINE • Rated games with a choice of time controls. • Matchmaking for the time control you choose. If nobody turns up for a while, you play an unrated game against the bot; the search screen tells you beforehand. • Play a friend: invite them with a link or challenge them from your friends list. • Draw offers, rematches and premoves. • In-game chat with ready-made phrases or your own text. You can report or block any player. PLAY OFFLINE These modes work without an internet connection: • Play the bot: three difficulty levels, pick your color, and come back to an unfinished game later. • One board (pass and play): two players, one device, with or without a clock. • Watch two bots play each other. • A checkers clock for games on a real board. • Lessons and the rules work offline too; your progress syncs when you are back online. GAME REVIEW • Every move graded, an advantage bar, accuracy and the engine's best move on the board. • Try your own line from any position. • Review right after a game against the bot or online, or open a recent online game from your stats. LESSONS • 36 interactive lessons in 8 modules: the basics and rules, tactics, strategy, openings, endings, defense and combinations. • The engine checks your moves and gives a hint when something goes wrong. • Stars, XP and a daily streak, with an evening reminder so the streak keeps going. • The rules of Russian checkers, right in the app. TOURNAMENTS • Online Swiss tournaments with live standings, round pairings and games you can watch. • A reminder before the tournament starts. • Over-the-board tournaments: add the players, and Damka pairs the rounds (Swiss or round robin), keeps score and works out the tie-breaks. PLAYERS AND RATING • Friends, friend requests and a list of who is online. • A leaderboard for each time control. • Your own stats: wins, losses, draws and recent games. MAKE IT YOURS • Several board and piece styles, plus light and dark themes. • Move and capture sounds, plus haptics on iPhone. • Available in Uzbek (Latin and Cyrillic), Russian and English. The app opens in Uzbek; switch the language with the globe button on the first screen or in More. ANY SCREEN • On the Mac, an iPad in landscape or an iPhone held sideways, the board and the move list sit side by side. The Mac app has menu commands and keyboard shortcuts. • On the foldable iPhone Duo the board and its buttons stay clear of the fold. YOUR ACCOUNT An account is required to play: sign in with Telegram, Google, Apple or email. It is the same account as on damka.uz, so your rating, friends and lesson progress carry over. You can delete your account in the app: More → Account & security. Questions and ideas: [email protected]
